Timelapse mixed with some photos from a recent roadtrip to Switzerland:
Here is a 25 minutes long summary of Boy Sets Fire’s 2 hour show at Batschkapp, Frankfurt.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t inlcude the encore (2 more songs) because of flat battery…
“Thailand promotes itself as amazing, Vietnam can well be described as bustling, Cambodia’s Khmer temples are awe-inspiring, Myanmar’s junta is barbaric… but the adjective most often applied to Laos is forgotten. Although there are a few grand (but relatively unheard of) attractions, those visitors who are drawn by the laid-back lifestyle and the opportunity to knock back a few cold Beerlao while watching the sunsets on the Mekong will simply explain the attraction by revealing that the true meaning of “Lao PDR” is Lao – Please Don’t Rush.” (Wikitravel)
The road to Luang Prabang is a dangerous one. A quite decent traffic on a narrow road means a high risk of accidents. Car comes around the corner, moto bike as well, both too fast, electric pole is the obstacle, got hit by car, pole on the road, sparks ignite the dry grassland. Things like that happen an you are stuck for at least 2 hours.
Impressions from the road:
Apparently people of Laos celebrated their new years – Boun Pi Mai – this weekend. What does that mean? It basically means that everyone is allowed to throw water right in your face. Riding in a tuc-tuc won’t help much as people stand at the side of the road holding out the water hoses. Madness!! Actually not too bad at all since the little refreshment at 40degrees celsius is more than welcome.
Few impressions from vientiane capital of Laos.
